Busking is live lighting without a cue list: the operator plays the desk like an instrument, bumping looks on the downbeat, riding intensity through a build, and pulling everything back for the breakdown. It is how most club, festival, and small-venue shows are run, and it is a rhythmic skill as much as a visual one. Late bumps look wrong; early bumps look worse; bumps that ignore the song's energy look like a screensaver. This drill plays a groove with a clear structure and asks you to busk it on a set of looks, scoring timing against the beat and energy against the section. Five rounds walk through a verse, a build, a drop, and a breakdown. Do it once and you will never watch a lighting operator the same way again.
